Mini chassis age

Can someone tell me what these numbers say, it is a Mini vin plate as follows XC2S2 8015159P The engine block plate has been ground off. Found all this another time but cannot find it anymore.Thanks.

I would make that to be a 1971 1098cc Clubman saloon. That sound about right! 6th character being a B rather than an 8.

However if it's an aussie car that could be completely different, I'm not familiar with those. Look on ausmini.com for info if you think it is one.

Thanks so far. This car has a heated rear screen, Clubman long nose, locking steering column, three spoke steering wheel,a hole in the tub for the next model safety belts( not fitted) has early type belts, I am helping my Cousin to get his Mini up to drive condition. Enjoying myself of course.Not a Aussie model.
