Sounds like you have blown a fuse because you don't know what you are doing, you should never install head decks going by colour choice. The best tools for the job is a test light or multimeter and a 9v battery for finding what speakers are what. If you were unsure you should have taken it to a sparky.

You need a multi meter or a test light.and probably someone who knows what they are doing;) Lol. What is the head unit! What year spacio!
Did you buy "Toyota to head unit" plug adaptors. If you go to Repco and you buy a Sony head unit for example, you can get Toyota to Sony adaptors.

Test light for finding constant 12v and acc 12v or a multimeter which will tell you which wire is live etc by giving a voltage reading. Pretty simple, basic basic electrical knowledge.
Probably easiest option.unless something has already been shorted out:(

you need a couple of adapter harnesses from supacheap, the first is "toyota to generic" the second is "generic to your brand of head unit". No mucking around just plug the first adapter straight into existing toyota loom, then plug the second into that, which in turn plugs into your head unit.

Yep, just make sure you don't wire the 12v acc to an illumination wire by mistake;)

Yeah being there done that, negative when ignition off and live went ignition on then bye bye fuse and tail lights. Old memorys from the first time I did them haha.

fuse on the stereo is still good i checked that i think ill get a auto elec to do it ive cut and stripped all the wires last time i got one to do it it took him 10 mins to soilder it all up and get it working its a panasonic headunit and a 98 spacio used to have a tape player factory standard

Wont be too hard to sort out. Have you checked interior and under bonnet fuses! Once you know which wires are which, disconnect the earth lead from the battery before wiring everything up.
To test the head unit, twist the yellow and red wires together. Briefly touch these to the + terminal on the battery while holding the black wire to the - terminal.
If there's no power to the head unit, then you have blown something inside the unit.

Also some headdeck need the power button pressed down for a few seconds to make them turn on for the first time.

Could you be a little clearer on the wire colouring please! Something like: Yellow. Yellow and blue. Black. Etc etc.
For a start, blue with yellow stripe is the constant 12v, so goes to the yellow wire off your head unit. The grey wire in the car goes to the red wire off the stereo. Etc etc. Do you have a test light! As there are 2 black wires coming from the factory car loom, 1 is ground, other is a speaker +. Should be pretty easy to tell which is which as the ground wire will be grouped with the other power wires. If you are not sure, run your own.

wel in the loom with the speaker thing there is a brown cable and cant find anything on a brown coloured cable dont have any tester things have done a few cars before but this is the first time ive had trouble with getting it going probly because its never had an aftermarket one in and my previous cars had

Well, do you have the yellow with blue striped wire, grey wire and black wire!
Otherwise, pop into Jaycar or Supercheap and grab a cheap meter or test light.
