How much would this be worth

So say someone knows someone with a Mach III or IV Ford Cortina that is in immaculately mint condition with very low legit mileage and has its original straight 6 engine (can't specifiy on displacement). How much would this person be looking as a sale price!

being 6cyl it'll be the aussie model. I would say there would be a difference in value between the Mk3 and Mk4. One is ugly, the other is even uglier. I recently sold my Mk5 2.0 4cyl auto wagon really tidy with 163kms on the clock for $1600 - I would say a tidy low kms 6cyl would be somewhere around $2500-5000 depending on spec and condition.

I'm talking it is in factory new condition, museum material. KM.s in the low tens of thousands

its only worth what someone wants to pay for it. 377243425 is a barely driven in 4 pot and they're asking 3.5k.

For a mk 3 six maybe add a grand and a half! Maybe more, but whats the big deal! its an old economy car that wasn't up to much in its day outside of an affordable family car or unrated club racer.

If you're hoping someone will come along and say you've won the old car lottery and have a 50 thousand dollar collectible on your hands, you'll probably need to wait until the world has moved to magnetic accelerator drive or ion displacement engines before its worth anything to a classic collector or museum.

Values for Cortinas are pretty much the same across all Marks, its only the earlier Lotus/GT that get into five figures, I'd say for an Aust assembled 6 of one of those models $4500-6500 if its as good as you say it is, it's not easy anymore to get totally rustfree and unmolested ones. The Oz versions do/did have their own small following, a 4.1L manual especially would be more sought after than a 3.3.
