A freind of mine has one, 10 bolt, condition unknown. Would like to know how much it is worth. TIA.

they're not that strong but it's worth what ever you're prepared to pay.

Yeah, not very strong. I broke one in a 253 commie. Was shocked at the price to replace ($1500ish I think) and that was over 15 years ago and in aussie.
I end up putting in a salisbury diff and no more big burnouts. hehe

So $800 - $1000 should be a reasonable price to ask. Thanks to those who answered.

Not that strong!. Is that a generalisation or speaking from experience!.
I will say this from having seen what a mates 10 bolt in his HK Premier has been put through over 10 years of punishment. there is nothing wrong with them. He has done literally thousands (and I mean thousands!) of huge burnouts & quite a few burnout comps, dragraced it, grass tracked it & it's still as good as the day he fitted it.
ANY diff will crap itself if it's a 1 wheeler & you're doing static burnouts. I've blown the carrier apart in a 9" head on the street, doesnt make a 9" rubbish.
My advice though, is if you're going to be giving it sh*t then fit a C-clip eliminator kit. The 12 bolt in my old Impala broke the C-clip & the whole axle/brake assembly along with the wheel attached came out.

I would think its value to the average punter would be around $300. You would have to wait for a big while to get $1000 - and probably only from somebody wanting to put a car back to factory stock. Could be a few years wait.

I agree hrt. $300-500 is a fair price.
