I have driven a gti-6, went very well, has a 123kw 16v, the xsi with 90kw is ok but gets pretty boring

ginga4lyfe, May 29, 1:51pm
the XSI with 90 kw , that must have been the 8valve version! I have heatrd of repots of them being anywere from 120 hp to 140hp, that to me is sufficiant

ginga4lyfe, May 29, 1:52pm
oh. i did the math. 90kw is 120 hp lol

Peugeots are prone to electrical trouble! had 2 both were a problem will never buy another! 205gti ,and 306 gtigreat to drive when they are going well, but just didnt keep going!

I read somewhere that those two models were built in the UK - the old Hillman Hunter factory.Say no more.

great cars, but yes they do suffer from not so flash build quality. Usually the door fabric from the door cards starts to come apart, and the seat seams start splitting. Expect the occasional electrical issue also. The 306 is a good car though, generally quite trouble free.

Fabric comming off is quite common across euro cars as the foam glue they used brakes down and falls apart
