Prepping a car for paint, and cant be arsed stripping it back to bare metal (unless you can tell me how I could do that in less than a week!) When you sand down the area, and are left with minor scrapes, would one use putty or primer filler!

minor scratches as in 150 grit or less will fill with a good 2pak primer. best rule is sand as smooth as practiable e 220 grit if u can. as for dents they really have to be filled. there are some very nice to use fillers out there now good for minor dents. if you dont sand out large scrathes u risk swelling around the area latter on when painted. ive seen swelling even through 2pak primers.
