Not worth it with your insurance excess, its one thing you have to learn about auckland driving defensibly for our shocking roads. :(

Thats wron't help the problem, their is a reason why cars don't have oversized wheels from factory for practicality sack.

what the! Yes low profile tyres are more likely to be damaged by plot holes , in a lowered car. Manufacturer generally have a higher sidewall height for a reason. I see it far to often in modified honda boys coming in and ask who does wheel repairs.

Well, yes. I had a mag cracked, presumably by a pothole. Wasn't detected until I went to get a warrant. As the same style mags were no longer available, I claimed on my insurance. The insurance company agreed that it was "accidental" damaged and paid out to replace all four rims with new ones. Less the excess. So if your mags are an older style you may be OK.
