And how do you adjust the master cylinder! Thanks in advance.
I put it into first or reverse while the car is off and then turn the car on, even if i have the clutch in the car wants to slightly move forward in first or backwards in reverse, i have to handbrake to keep it from moving, kinda like an automatic i suppose. So i can drive like that but then i can't get it outa gear again until i turn the car off.

i believe this is yet another case of if you have to ask you shouldnt be doing it. you'll find it once you take the gearbox off, it sits over the gearbox input shaft.

You can't adjust anything. You clearly have a failed clutch master or slave cylinder.

Both have been replaced brand new. But by faulty backyard mechanics. I have only owned car for 1 week and cant handle driving it like that. Could anyone just give me a low down of what a mechanic would do to fix and how long it will take.

dont know car sorry, but is it a hydraulic system! maybe it just hasn't been bled properly!

Yeah, don't take it to "real" mechanics or you might get ripped off.

ok no expert but ive changed a few clutches, sounds like theres still air in the system. in any case your first step is to bleed the system. And if it doesnt get better then try to find the faulty component.i can pretty much guarantee its not the throw out bearing however.

the way I read it was that they did it before he bought it. maybe!

Maybe air in hydraulic system as already pointed out, or some clown has put the wrong master or slave cylinder on and there is displacement problem. That is, slave too large in diameter or master too small and hence not enough travel to disengage clutch. Long shot all the same.

If it's bled properly, maybe the master cylinder/slave silinder have been replaced with the wrong sized ones

LOL! I already told you that the straps on the pressure plate have snapped and you need a clutch kit, sorry but thats the reality of your situation, theres no adjusting anything ok or easy fix.get the gearbox out and you'll see im right.

And no-one has said it's probably in the wheelie-bin.
