I cant see anywhere a post that was trying to make this into an "anti john thread". your reaction to some simple advice from someone who has been on these boards for a long time, is what changed the tack of this thread. I am sticking by my advice, maybe with a lighten up addition to it.

Well you are saying its all about me when I am being neutral, to the point everyone including me needs to work better at getting on. I don't need advice and the fact you direct at me specifically says so otherwise that its about me. Its not like you have said about others in motoring other than me.
The reality is you have probably been here the same amount of time has myself looking at profiles.

Well its true, what advice do you have rather than trying to direct it at me like I am the problem and no one else does nothing wrong. Yes some people may bend over and take it because its considered okay but I am not like that.

Don't immediately reply.go and sit on the couch and have a wee think, make it a big think if you like. Ask yourself: 1. Has this thread turned into a pissing contest! 2. Could someone have avoided that eventuality! 3. Am I getting at someone with this post! 4. Or am I actually wanting everyone who currently can't understand the concept of workshop humour to actually stand back and think.! 5. It's a motoring MB, why would we not want to engage in workshop humour!

As I have said this thread is not about me its about everyone been nice to each other, so take the attention away from here and put it into positive energy. WorkshopsI have and worked in consider this the same towards it, its basically bully's that have never grown up from school.

What I am saying is in real life in the motoring enviroment it is common, why would it not happen in here! For Gods sake, get over yourself or get out, you are spoiling it for so many, .however I doubt you are able to see that.

I reckon if it was just about motoring on here it would be boring as. bit of banter is good. met some great people on here, topic usually goes off motoring, thats how you get to know someone. otherwise you end up being the guy at the party no one talks to coz he is a car bore.

I think you have hit the nail on the head xacoon, people become friends in here cause they get to know each other, what they do, what they drive etc. I don't post much but do enjoy reading most post and relearning my trade, humour and piss taking was always part of workshops I worked in. I was even a Foreman at a Toyota dealership and must admit, encouraged it in the workshop, great enviroment. Someone that posts on 250 posts in a month, needs to get a job or a life or both. I think just ignore his every post like he is not there and everyone else just keep being helpful and funny, Thanks, Mark

Thanks mark but I do have a job, just that I am currently off mechanic's dutys while recovering from a bad back injury. So I am very much limited physically on what mechanic dutys I can do, I'm sure you have had injurys also in the work place. But do share more why posting a lot makes someone bad and needs to get a life / job.
I do help but you just choose to not see it, come on I want to try and get on better with everyone you included. So lets try to get on, I want to make an effort.
