Cracked manifold and odd odo.

hello all,
i come with 2 questions, first; my ga14 nissan pulsar n14 has a crack in the exhaust manifold as shown in the picture (they arent green and red, i coloured to make it easier to see) http://img853.imageshack.us/i/pulsarmanifoldcrack.jpg/ does anyone know how i can fix it. i'd like to attempt to fix it because i'm a new zealander, and because i'd enjoy the learning. If this isnt viable for me to do then i'd be more then happy to buy a replacement the tools i have avaliable is a high quality mig welder with argosheild and an acetylene plant, would i be okay to "v" allong the cracks then lay some thick, deep welds or would they crack! or perhaps braze it!
(as before, i don't mind if i mess it up, i'll be richer for the experience and can buy another.)

remove radiator,use a flap disc on grinder clean up area and go nuts with what ever welder you like

i would put some heat into it before you weld itas its carstmig should do a farily good job

it's easy enough to pull the manifold off and do a nice job of it, so i could pull it off, clean up around the cracks, crank the power up on my mig, heat the whole thing with oxy/acetylene torch then give it a zap! let it cool and see how she stands up!

your manifold is cast iron mig is steel,these expand and contract at different rates it will more than likely crack again and make a proper repair harder.prep it as in v the crack heat it up arc weld it with cast rods,heat it again when finished and cool slowly in sand or a hot oven.you can get rolls of cast for the mig but its very expensive.the most successful way i have come across is to gas weld it with cast filler rods pre heat post heat cool slow good luck
