Shell is now sold,I wonder if they will drop flybuys!
Also wonder if they also will keep or drop the supermarket discounts!
Anyone know the answers to my questions! Is there any news items on it!Tonight was the 1st I have heard & that was on TV one news/closeup tonight.

I doubt it. They need something to differentiate themselves from the rest - fly buys does that for them and they can use it to encourage more instore purchases. Buy x and get y bonus points etc. That's where the margins are.

You worry too much, relax. Personally, I don't give a damn what happens to FlyBuys or supermarket discounts.

The dockets will stay too. Unless the supermarkets get sick of subsidising the scheme. You pay for it through higher food prices - nothing's free.
Found something, looks like flybuys will go bye bye.
Flybuys is good when it comes with my normal spending.

+1, exactly who cares, unless the vouchers are for at least 20c/L off they're a bit of a joke anyway, both of these schemes are just consumer manipulation at its finest.Flybuys is one of the biggest waste of time cons out, most of the partners involved in it are hardly price competitive in their fields, you're better off using whoever gives you the best up front deal right now for what you want to buy instead of accumulating points for use in the future and buying something you don't really need, assuming the points don't expire first!

It means they're just as worthless as they ever were!

As I recall, part of the purchase of "Shell" included Shell's share in Loyalty NZ, which is Fly Buys. I suspect whether or not they keep will depend on what value they think it brings to them.

flybuy you got to be joking what moron is still falling for that scam.

No because that is an immediate direct actual saving. Not a deferred illusion of saving.

I will be sticking with Gull. Pak N Slave vouchers normally bring their fuel price back to about what Gulls is. Their vouchers dont last long before expiring. Countdowns are good for a month from memory. We only have 1 Shell here in Wangas and there is absolutely no service as with most others. I don't know why they don't just drop the word Service from their names and just call them fuel stops. Gone are the days when a good service station had a person on the forecourt fuelling cars. I suppose it's a sign of the times. Pay more get less.

It was sold to greenstone a year ago, April 2010.They are just doing a rebrand now, I doubt much will change more than the look.If flybuys and vouchers bring them business, why would they get rid of them.
i got an email from flybuys saying you still collect points the same

They will keep handing-out flybuys, because Shell had a 25% stake in flybuys.
They won't throw away an investment like that.

ask shell and ask fly buys

Morons with brains can collect a couple of hundred points a month by linking their credit card to Flybuys. They then use these for airpoints, magazine subs, home appliances and all sorts of other stuff that morons with no brains miss out on. Does take a bit of effort though, you have to order the free stuff yourself. Very tiring.

the same moron that has gone to ozzie twice for a holiday and had numerous free home appliances for nil outlay, geez in this day and age anything for ziiiip is a good deal, and dont give me the bullpucky line.you pay for it elsewhere, because we all pay but I get the travel etc,you lose

Flybuys is such a waste of time any way.No loss if it falls away. Its just to think that some people rely on 3 000 000 point to get them a $19.19 toaster!
