"I want a car I trust and no problem", then this is not the car for you.

I hate hondas with a passion, but did not realise they made a little gem like this. A mint example of one of them would be a very nice car to drive I would imagine.

Really, so if I buy a 15,000 car it wront have issues at all. Hand me the tui, I have bought cheap cars and have done me fine for years.

It does have quite a bit wrong that could end up costing a few $$ to get a wof, but at least there is a very good description of faults.

Ringo, there are many problems with this car.
If you buy, you will pay $3000 (or more) to fix all problems. So, $4500 - $5000 for good car. it is old, so maybe too expensive.
And, if the car needs a new cam belt - maybe $1000 more for this.
And, owner says car does not use water - but maybe car uses oil.
I suggest - get an AA check done on car BEFORE you buy - this will cost $200, and if the check tells you of many problems, I suggest you look at another car.

That seller won't do you wrong. If they know there's something wrong they'll tell you.

No need for the name callings, but what I am saying is any car can have issues and saying statements that a 1500 car is going to have issues is not always right. Yes it might have a higher chance of being the case but is not "always" the case, all secondhand cars have a risk factor to buying them. As for cars I buy I do my homework on them and I spot the difference between a money pit and something that just requires maintenance.

looks like a really nice car, but lots of niggly problems that need fixing. At least you know in advance what the problems are, but these could cost a fair bit to fix, and you have to wonder what other problems may be soon to appear.nice looking car though! with a bit of money and effort could be a really nice ride.

looks nice but that drivers seat it rooted. would be uncomfortable as shit. heaps of small problems that could cost alot. $1500 for a 91 legend that would most likely cost you up to 3000 to get road legal. Or buy my 96 Legend with new wof and reg and new tyres for $2500

This is a wind up, probably from mr riccardo to get people looking at his auction.

Nice photos though, more people should take the effort to make their auctions look good.

Yes, I agree, BUT, I was thinking that perhaps where there is smoke, there is ALSO fire."doesn't leak any water". I'm guessing maybe there's an oil leak somewhere. and split CV boots could indicate failure of CV joint(s) in the very near future. And, how long since the cam belt has been changed!Or the car given a complete service (which it would really need) with new fluids (incl radiator and transmission) all round! I'd rather guess on the high side for our foreign friend and be pleasantly disappointed, than to go with the minimum and have a visitor to our country let down by one of us - remember, we are all representatives of NZ.

Exactly, and judging by the overall condition of the car, I'd say the engine and transmission may not have had the most gentle of life with previous owners.
