So Glad i Drove past Firestone Yesterday

$6 a tyre to get filled with Nitrogen, they say it saves fuel, Thought i had better get all four and the spare done, then shot home and got the wife's car and got hers one, Cant wait for all this money to start flowing out of our pockets with the amount we are going to save. Then on the way home i spied a sign in one of those fitness joints that read "free hirage when you buy", i though Crikey thats good " imagine buying an exercise machine and not having to pay to hire it after you buy it" awesome stuff, what a novel idea.

you idiot! nitrogen is so last week, helium, or even better if you can get your hands on it, hydrogen, is sooooo much better to fill your tyres with. weight reduction you know!

carmedic, May 9, 8:30pm
Gst free at Repco, that??

mk3zephyr, May 9, 8:32pm
was thinking of the helium one actually, then if you go to a mates barbie pi** up and you get a bit thrashed and cant drive home you could go get the spare and you could all take turns sucking the gas out and talking like Donald Duck hahaha, great party trick, or if you wanted to go down the hydrogen track you could fill up big black rubbish bags and do re-enactments of the Hindenburg disaster in the back yard.

xacoon, May 9, 8:37pm
think how much fun the hydrogen option would be if you were running from the law. road spikes. could be some fun there.

mk3zephyr, May 9, 8:42pm
Could be a big bang and a flash associated but in the end it would be a let down hahahahaaha lame i know hahahaha

xacoon, May 9, 8:44pm
haha yeh had a chuckle I will admit

icemans1, May 9, 9:45pm

FuelStar is the best one of all.

jason18, May 10, 12:46pm
hahah what exactly does nitrogen do! My tires where filled with nitrogen when all 4 were replaced I aint noticed no difference! AHHA

johnf_456, May 10, 3:34pm
I thought the electric turbo was

bdogg1, May 10, 6:30pm
I had my tires filled with Nitrogen over 6 months ago and they haven't lost any pressure at all, which is good for wear and tear too.

fordcrzy, May 10, 6:39pm
nitrogen does not expand and contract as much as air when heated and cooled.this means your tyre pressures should stay constant over time.

mk3zephyr, May 10, 7:40pm
Ha and here i was thinking our atmoshere was made up on close to 80% Nitrogen anyway

So, breathing through the collar of your shirt (like we used to when we were kids and someone farted), won't do any good.!
