Im lost LOL, Have I missed the motoring side of the thread or is that 15 yo are yelling at there parents because of the licence age going to 16. Just seemed like a General topic.
You have to swear a loud so that the oldies can hear you. On the other hand, I always push elders quietly. Its a personal preference kinda thing though.

Sorry people, My spelling and parenting skills are OK, just my now ex partners spelling is not. She and my girl had a spat and now my girl & me are in a motel looking for somewhere to live. I have changed the password, so no more bad spelling. Again, I'm sorry for this, but can't seem to delete it, thought the mods might haha

Older people have let them get to this by allowing them to take over the rules of life and then no respect anymore. My four love there parents and there children and I and so pleased they are respectable to all.

God help us then if they end up in positions of power, opps .err some have!

My 2 daughters are like yours jrlaw and often they mention their common sense normal upbringing and the thanks "Mum & I" get for it all. If they didn't "tow the line" they knew about it and understood most of the time, give and take has to be a part of it all though, long as they recognize where the boundaries are! It's a nice thing for parents to be freely consulted by their children and their friends. Input on all topics etc must come from both ends of the age spectrum and healthy discussion without aggro was always promoted in my family.

I read the same complaint once written by a Greek fellow 2500 years ago.

True .It's nothing new .right. I remember even my parents saying similar things about respect and the lack of it in certain quarters years ago. Good parenting is one thing, bad parenting is another and all to common unfortunately!
