So what bs do we get hit with now after they just rose the price up of 91 and the others to over 2.20 a litre,they probably knew the drop in oil was coming so when they drop the prices to where they were last week it is justified intheir view,we're getting used like a play of puppets.

its a huge ripoff. did you see the news last night about the commerce comission telling uss to not use the to expensive telcoproviders as they foreced em to cut costs when calling other networks. they should do this to food prices also as they are ripping uss off way worse . same for fuel. Fuel used to be 40% cheaper here in nz then it was in europe. now its the same high price the government has however increased the taxes over the years by about 25% since then but still leaves 15% that we get milked extra on top also then we used to.

Good job, it has been trending downwards for going on a week now . I hope a lot of high rolling speculators have got their bums burned, and I hope a fair few more get burned some more . hopefully that will cure them of their nasty greedy habits at the expense of the everyday fuel user that has to have the stuff in order to go about their daily business.

Refer to "and que." thread for my take on it, In reality we SHOULD be only paying 1.33 per liter WITH tax, thats consistant with the USA pricing of fuel ( with tax) and the Australia pricing ( again, with tax ), so i dunno were nz pulls there higher prices from but it looks to me as a price fixing bonanza out there!

It's always cheaper during the northern hemisphere summer, when demand for fuel oil for heating is reduced (because most of the world's people who can afford to stay warm in winter live up there.)

petrol is something people NEED. when you sell something people NEED you can put any price on it you WANT. why sell it cheaper when you can sell it for MORE! i wouldent let you run my business.

If pres Obama had the balls he would remove fuel from commodities market . Bush was going to do it shortly before the elections . In USA majority of homesrely on fuel oil for heating, they have no choice , the temps in many states dropwell below freezing& must have heating to survivebut the greedfy brokers dont care .

But the standard message we will be fed from the petrol companies is" we have to buy in advance" so we wont see a price drop for 90 days. Funny how it doesnt go the other way.

Would be great to have a Joe Public fuel station. One owned by us with the price being just over enough to pay for our running costs. All the Little guys/gals" looking after our own. If I had more skills than just thinking of an idea, I would try & make it a possibility.

It's a very strange situation to have a near record $NZ dollar AND record pump prices. Just wait until the dollar drops and we could be looking at $2.50 p/litre by Xmas.
