In fact . having a clean & polished paint job on the car can help a little but wouldn't really be noticed unless you kept fuel/km records for many years. High wind area's would be another place that a good paint & polish would help a little with stability at highway speeds.

Even John Force tried that on his TF funny car .Go over his car with centre punch & put the dimples in , then tell him it saves heaps of fuel ,. It would pay to have your running shoes on tho.
