$1K in parts! You've got to be joking, the only things going for it are the fact its manual and has got a couple of Momo bits on it!The rest of it is scrap material, if the bid cracks $400 I'd be very surprised.

You cannot take 300 if the reserve has already met, once the reserve is met the goods are sold.

Yep, deportation can be a real bastard.
mopar63,

johnf_456,
May 2, 7:14pm

Why would he be leaving the Land of Milk and Honey and leaving two gorgeous cars !(other listing)

You know how many people have called me this week not understanding I'm legally obligated to sale to the highest bidder! One I told to just autobid so they threatened me if I didn't sell the car to them for $800.

^^ yeah you get that all the time. Some of them are actually genuine and offer something reasonable but can't/wont bid because they need the car ASAP and can't wait a week or so for the auction to end. But most of them are time wasting pricks who think because the current bid is $500 that you will accept $600 today.

judging by the interior it could be a gt astina which if it is would be worth a bit in parts. The gt models are basically the same as a gtx turbo except fwd and without the turbo. So they have a 1800 motor, big gearbox that fits a gtx clutch, gtx interior and and big 4 wheel disk brakes same size as the gtx familias

I'm surprised that atleast 6 people so far actually want a car like that.

May 3, 10:14am
wow, even the Bmw that he has listed is a pile of crap, i hope no one continues to bid on the cars, they arnt really even worth whats bid!
ct9a,
May 3, 10:25am

I find it humourous, but dont have a problem with a foreign visitor not knowing my language, I find myself wondering why you do. He set the reserves realistically in my view,(given that both reserves have been met) Sure I would have taken the 300 myself, but so what!
Yep, both pretty crappy cars, bit the pricing reflects that.
Interesting post anyway!

Many, many sellers have proved you wrong.
johnf_456,
May 3, 5:00pm
Well you can if you like breaking trademe rules as in the case of any auction once reserve is met goods are sold. The buyer would have a case if he met the reserve and it was sold outside trademe. I am sure you would be also if you bidded on a car but then I guess this is pick on me day again is it.It is as simple as that so whats the problem!
I have not been proved wrong, others are just saying they would take 300 but legally thats a different matter. Perhaps learn how auctions work more then come back.

exactly, its all about who waves the right amount of cash in front of who as soon as possible, not about bids on a computer screen that might not be honoured! Not agreeing with the practice of pulling auctions but thats what happens.

Fixed it, was in a hurry.
johnf_456,

Yeah well I am just saying and its not about a computer screen its a legal binding process bidding on a auction. Based on this theory why have auctions, essentially making them pointless to begin with on your theory. Not everyone is crooked and likes treating everyone unfair, if you want cash offers list it as a classified.
You can actually legally follow up buyers who bid on auctions but do not commit to buying, just like you would at turners in a physical auction.
