Does anyone use Snitch?

Does anyone use this! What are your opinions on it! Is it worth the expense and monthly upkeep! Any downfalls to it (apart from the initial set up price!)

Cheers

Its a very expencive and very good way to keep an eye on your car, I would personally only spend soo much on one of these if the car was a One off/one of a kind/rare/worth alot of money

Yeah, if its easliy replaced I'd just get an alarm and normal insurance. If its a showcar or hotrod etc then yeah be worth it I spose.

But would you park your hotrod or show car in an unmonitored place!

I'm not sure I see what these services offer over and above a home install GPS tracker.

No, but hotrods and showcars DO get stolen from peoples secure garages. Like recently in Hamilton, a guy had is RX3 showcar (built it over a few years over $20g spent - it was listed on here) stolen from his garage during the day - and he had a deadbolt on the garage. He came home to an empty garage.neighbours saw it but thought nothing of it due to him always taking it out for work to be done. Your car doesnt have to be unsecure to be stolen.

Ya I know, that's why I said monitored.that dude should have had a camera installed dumping images to an offsite server. Maybe they wear masks.but if they do the neighbours tend to take a little more notice.
And either way, a GPS tracker would also have given him the eventual location, my point was Snitch doesn't really offer anything more than that.

snitch tells you where the car has been stopped at and for how long, and there is something that allows you easily check it with the claimed hours that your staff put in for various jobs etc.

Having to park the free car at a customer and then taxi or walk to the stripclub tends to make them not do it.

Fair call, I was thinking from a security perspective rather than fleet monitoring. Becomming common for couriers and tradies etc so they can estimate time to next job
