You can if you remove it and bash the honeycomb out of it, it won't really increase performance manly just cause toxic exhaust fumes, you would notice the difference if it was turbo as back pressure slows down turbo spool.

Only reason I would hollow it out was if it was blocked up and causing issues.

i done it to my galant no turbo did get better preformance do you think i will get more with v6
