Legnum ST-R?

Looking at one, 2500cc v6, Tiptronic,
Anybody know what they are like on gas!

being ST-R it will be 4WD also. I found my one reasonable on the open road, but a tad thirsty around town. Still got about 550-600kms out of a tank of combined open road/around town driving with my one.

Thats not to bad i guess, about $120 to fill up!

Check for shuddering from the driveline when the torque converter lock up clutch engages around 55-80km/h in 3rd and 4th gears. They supposedly can strip the torque converter input shaft too at higher kms. My one had 124k on the clock and didn't give me issues apart from needing to replace the dizzy rotor/cap.

yeah about $120-130 to fill up of 95/98 with today's fuel costs. I didn't find my one overly expensive to run, but I'm used to mid sized cars with 2-3L engines, and the economy of my diesel Corona and Honda Domani blew me away.

Yea iv had that issue a few times with the 6a11 mitsys

phillip.weston, May 3, 8:45am
Factory specs states it weighs 1480kgs, has a 170hp/230nM engine and average fuel consumption is 10.2L/100kms.

phillip.weston, May 3, 8:46am
nah the issue with the 6A11/6A12 SOHC is the ignition module inside the distributor, mine just needed a cap and rotor.

Cheers, not to keen on the gdi models, but quite like the st-r on the sedan with the 2.5v6 in it but they seem rare

phillip.weston, May 3, 8:51am
you can't get a ST-R sedan, in fact the non-turbo 2.5 V6 isn't in any of the Japanese import sedans, only the NZ-new VR and V6-24 and it's FWD rather than 4WD.

Sweet as, yea no rush ill have a look around,

Mate just traded one. It had a awesome habit of spontaneously dropping down gears on you.Cruising along at 100 and then oh downshift. thanks car.I don't trust mitsi or honda auto trans or CVT amongst the jappas.Just my personal experiences. some I'm sure are maintained well but I don't take the risk.

Yea suppose theres a few bad ones around, but hey they could be alot better if they were serviced when they needed to be
