cheers to the guy in the white hilux that did a you turn behind me at the check point on waihi rd ( tga) tonight, you drew away the 2nd cop that would have been there to give me a ticket for no rego instead i just got a friendly say your name please sir and have a pleasant evening.now to growl the wife for not telling me her car needs new rego.

Cops don't always go over regos and wofs at checkpoints, in my experience anyway. Guess the wife chucked out the reminder notice!

I don't think they issue tickets for WOF/Reg at check points generally, just a "get it sorted sir" if they have time to check.
I have a vague memory that it might even be policy not to do so.

tell me about it, i never drive her car, but she is away and i couldnt be bothered putting the car seat for the boy in my car so grabbed hers instead. post shop first thing tomoroow to pay it i guess.

Yup they can, but personally the only ones I have had is seatbelt and breath test and they have checked nothing else in the few ones I go through.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
