Some can be regoed as a car (see Can Am Spider) but there are some requirements that change between a bike trike and a car trike. Stuff like handbrakes etc.

Yer, I've seen Can Am's with car rego, but dont know about motorbike trikes.

I heard if they are powered with car running gear you can reg as a car if bike running gear you reg as a bike!

i built one 6-7years ago lexus v8,its regestersd as a car ,back then it needed handbrake,seatbeltsand a high stop light,we used a ba falcon spoiler with the stop light in it
