Evo 8mr diff into a evo 5

Will an evo 8mr diff bolt straight into a evo 5!

Have read about three evo 4-6's with a evo 8 rear diff on some evolution forums. A couple of traders on TM say a 8 diff will bolt into a evo 4-7.

I've had a few people who say the 8 diff won't fit.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

The evo 7 and eight were built on the same platform, the eight and nine being glorified facelift versions of the seven. If i had to guess i would say if it will fit a 7 it will fit into 8 and 9 but probably not a 5. you should ring mitsubishi.
