Above is more like tink tink. You want thump thump or booooom booooooom, out of the 3 you mentioned OP, pioneer would be way better than sony and panasonic, 2 x 12" pioneers, a good amp, 4 gauge cables some 6 " front speakers or 6x9's if you want louder sound, a good head deck, there all pretty good these days, and that should have you thumping/boooming in no time. Personally, if you have the cash and want that good setup, go with 2 x 15" kickers or orions with a mono class d amp, that will have you on that next1eve1
ive got a non brand sub and amp,brought from the wearhouse for 17.50 for the both of them they go great very loud for my type of music

Subaru forester,a heap of boot space. Don't want warehouse setup, was thinking sony, but as someone said, pioneers look good. How do i know what amp to get for what sub!

for $175 off trademe I scored a clarion 12 inch boxed and ported with a fusion powerplant 4 channel amp. hooked 2 ch to my 8 inch pioneer speakers and and bridged other channel to sub. Tuned it so its not to bassy and makes the sounds in the valiant sound primo!

Hahaha Kenny who, The point is, there is no point for me, i just love bass, simple n plain, as for doof doof, like i keep saying, i want booom booom full on bass waves, couldn't give a F if people can hear, it's not for them. If you don't know, you will never know i suppose. Makes my travels more pleasant too

2x12" pioneer in a well designed and ported box will rattle your rearview mirrors to a point where you go insane and cement it to ur winscreen, makes ur big bore sound non existant. i had this hooked upto a 4 channel sony amp running sony Headunit. was quite surprised. got a $650 ticket in palmy's the square for excessive noise or public nuissance. all i did was playing some clubbing music at 1/2 volume. at 11pm following other car enthsuthiasts.

I have 2x 12" Vibrant (the cheap brand) and a small fusion amp (no wattage on it) and an Xplod headunit. The subs go hard, and they are pushing 6years old and been thrashed n bashed since I got them (loud, long hard bass most times). Ands thats in my E30 BMW sedan. With a box made to suit the boot.

But it makes everybody else's life less pleasant. They can't turn the sound off. Personally, I can't wait until some form of legislation comes in to control this noise. Sad to see so many people don't realise how anti-social they're being.
