for 2k i wouldnt bother really, honda tend to be quite reliable. would be a bit worried about that 1st-2nd gear change issue. could be something costly

That car is up for sale because the owner knows that the auto trans is most likely on the way out.The 1st/2nd gearchange thing and the as is where is thing are mentioned very close together.Keep looking.

I think finding out what, revs a little between 1rst and 2nd really means as well. Dosnt sound overly good to me but could be a honda thing as was the crunch into reverse. Trans may just need a good flush etc.or a new one.

Nope, classic symptom of transmission about to fail. Could cost $2-3K to fix.
