Its a joke that people go on about how a n/a v8 would rape a n/a rice burner of 2L capacity. OF COURSE IT WILL! Its going to have over twice the capacity so naturally has a huge advantage there. By bringing up the 'take the turbo off and then see how well it goes' point all you are doing is admitting that yes the rice burner is fast and also acknowledging that there are multiple ways to increase power - the idea that you seem to be dead set against.
The v8 boys are starting to sound like little kiddies arguing over whose dad is tougher (well not all of them) and are becoming worse than the small capacity 4 cylinder fans themselves.

for every 7psi you are doubling the air going in, and therfore the fuel. so a 2L turbo running @ 7psi in theory has a diplacement of 4L. how many 2L turbos running at a rather low 7psi would "rape" a 4L V8! I would have thought it would be quite even. Of course at 14psi+.- .

pressure and volume are two differant things. naturally the flow of air from a little tdo5 at 7 pounds is completely differant from a gt3582r etc at 7 pounds hence why compressor maps exist

No , wrong 1 bar is 14.7 psi, not 7psi. Less pumping efficiencies about 18psi would double torque.

well power would be more accurately compared to in terms of air flow (ie in kgs per second or minute of whatever). If you have a really good flowing engine you can flow the same mass of air with less boost.

My poor old 2.4T Surf happily out tows a 2lt petrol n/a That was with the 2l n/a petrol with 600kg's on the back of it's deck My ol Surf with a 300kg trailer plus approx 1500kg on the trailer Both Toyotas with 5 speed gearbox's of about the same age

There is more to any vehicle than just the engine. Drove a 1,000hp vehicle once.So boring.But, it would pull the skin off a rice pudding.Cornered as if on rails.Come to think of it, it was on rails.
