2000 TC. Not one of their better efforts. I have a 3500 V8 in the garage, I wonder how hard it is to swap.

i sold my p6 v8 in europe for 400 bux as i needed to get rid of my cars there and it was lefthand steering. so you got a p6 v8 engine or what do you mean . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rover_P6 i like the sape its the last real different car after that cars looked all the same.

It came out of the later one, I can't recall the designation but it was the Peanut Slab team shape. I also have a bellhousing for a Toyota W series box and a flywheel. Really must find something to put it in.

The 200TC is the same bodyshell as the 3500 and 3500S, so the engine should go in OK but no doubt you'd need an appropriate transmission.

I wish that had cropped up a few years ago.Cost me $1,000 for a rebuilt Toyota gearbox to mate to the V8 engine (previously fitted with an auto) plus $500 for the bell housing - and that was without a decent clutch and slave that also cost a fair bit.Sounds like a real bargain at that price.Like getting a free engine!

Depending on the condition it could be worth anything from zero to a couple of thousand dollars if it's really nice and the right Rover nut sees it. You'll never know unless you try.!
As others have said it is the same basic car as the Rover 3500 V8, apart from the engine and all the other little things that are different. With the V8 in them they were a great car in their day, the 4 cylinder ones not so much.
Advertise it with the Rover club too.
