Philip, no she is here in NZ, the car was built in Holland ( I think) and bought brand new here in 1998. .

All that makes for some sound reasoning for water injection. Bear in mind that you don't just have to inject water, its easy to add methanol etc to the mix which will no doubt provide some detergent action and keep things clean.

Saw 3 GDI's in for pumps this week at one garage, hope they werent guessing their way to repairing
