I must be waay behind the times.I know you can do most things with a computer these days. but starting a car!Awesome.I might just stick to jumper leads and the wifes car tho.

just dont have the donor car running and you will be fine.
why people insist of doing that then giving it a rev I dont know, its next to pointless! if you get any surges its going to be from the donor car's alternator firing into life as you attach a dead battery to it. if you dont runt the donor car you illuminate this possibility

Man I wish I knew that when I jump started my brother in laws Terrano! $600 to un root the alternator later. Makes perfect sense now.
