doors without pillars. nothing around the glass

mugenb20b, Apr 12, 7:21pm
Not so much the doors, but the body of the vehicle. There's no "B" pillar.

You could get pillarless four doors too (U12 Bluebird, older Laurels etc), but its hard to make them acceptably safe in a crash so no one makes them anymore.

fordkiwi27, Apr 12, 7:33pm
heaps of older american4 door pillarless vehicles

Subaru!

Jaguar XJC was another.

phillip.weston, Apr 13, 6:19am
Nah they still have a B pillar which runs up to the roof. The 910 and U12 pillarless Bluebirds had a B pillar which stopped at the bottom of the windows.

Huh!
where!

sifty, Apr 13, 12:23pm
yep, you're quite right. I was confused with the frameless windows.

lookoutas, Apr 13, 3:25pm
Those 4 door pillarless 57 Chevy's are gems.

Wrong .clarification is required here ."Pillar less" cars have a 'B' pillar but it only comes up to the base of window aperture in height.
There are cars with frame less windows in their doors but still have a FULL height 'B' pillar.( Not actually pillar less.suffice to say.!)
Then there's the more common full framed window type doors and these cars too have full height 'B' pillars.

+1 even a ford lover like me likes those

Everyone's raced off down the pillarless B pillar scenario, when the question referred to pillarless doors.
My guess is that the OP's question probably should have referred to "frameless doors"
But never mind - it's all been explained now.
