It wouldnt surprise me mate, a lot of these jap boyracer cars are cobbled together bu complete f**kwits. Case in point, doing a perk job changing an engine on a '97 Lancer GSR. Looked like a pretty tidy car to start with. Have it up on the hoist and find that half the bellhousing bolts are missing and the gearbox has moved off the engine by about 10mm. All but one of the exhaust hangers had been lost too, and the thermo fan had been wired hard onto the acessory line and kept blowing its fuse (why it overheated).

Nah. In the first movie I'm pretty sure that green vaccum cleaner he was driving was built by the Police Special Chase Pursuit zero xx Type S Alpha division.
They should have used a stickier rice like Arborio, then they wouldn't have had the off the shelf floor-manifold come off like it did.
