Boot poper

the boot puller on my 1993 nissan sentra seems to only work with the key now, have cleaned all the working parts with brakecleen and crc, it worked for a few pulls then just clicks and i have to use the key again, how do i adjust it so the puller will work! thanks

There sometimes is a latch on the inside boot part to stop it working with the pullar, check for this

On the boot latch (on the car not the boot lid) there is a little lever that slides up and down. The up position allows the boot to be opened from inside the car, down disables it

as far as i know you have to push the leaer pulling is opening the petrol flap

no pulling is open, push for petrol, so i shoule remove the carpet etc around it and look for the little lever!

No no - the lever is on the boot latch - in the boot.
Because it worked, then didn't work, it was probably set half-way in-between, and now it's gone to whole-off. You need to set it to whole-on.

Good result eh!

Never forget the guy nutting-off coz we'g fixed his car and the back door wouldn't open from inside. Opened the door - flicked the "kiddy lock" off. and he had to stand there with a face full of egg.
The solution is often very simple. But it's normal that not everyone knows these things.
