Replacing the rear sway bar rubber bushes in the Camry wagon this weekend, can I use normal grease between bush and swaybar, or do I need to buy a special bushing type grease! First I've heard of using grease at all but its recommended I do. Cheers

NO, in most cases ordinary mineral grease will attack the rubber. You can get special rubber grease to do the job or else you can use CV joint grease. Most of the aftermarket bush kits include a sachet of the correct grease if its necessary, especially the urethane style ones.

Sweet, thank you for that, not sure if the bushes will have grease with them, but I'm sure I can buy it there. Incidentally, Repco wanted $78 for these, got them from BNT for $30.

Sure, I always use BNT they are better, but you can shop around and get better prices. The about advice is correct, don't use mineral oil. I tend not to grease them, they are cheap to change when they get loose or dirt in them. In the old days I used to squirt brake fluid on them but that's too dear these days.
