I've heard that you have to hand in your number plates when you put your cars rego on hold!

No, you don't have to hand in the plates, that was mis-information by the media and is only imposed on those who abuse the system. Just keep your vehicles on hold in the usual fashion and no need to re-vin.

Thats a relief. got a few bikes that i keep wofed but only reg for a month at a time.
