pull the plugs out and see if they are wet, if so, atleased you know you are getting fuel, if not then it may not be getting fuel, have you tried putting your foot flat to the floor and then cranking it over , normally when you do so the engine stops injecting fuel so prevent flooding and it then becomes easyer to start, but may take at leased 30 seconds to start firing, if not, then you may not be getting spark

I will check if the plugs are wet but so far we think that there is no spark, what could cause there to be no spark!

Fault Crank angle sensors, any number of things really, I know for sure that the Sr20's do not like a battery that it on its way out, I Have a Nissan Prarie with an sr20, and it had a battery that kept testing good and charged up fine ( apparently ) it cranked and had spark and fuel and everything way there working "properly" but wouldnt start, untill i replaced the battery with another one and then she ran fine, havnt had the problem since, I dumped its old battery as it most likley had a bad cell or something, I think its because the engine didnt spin up fast enough to build crank case pressure for the hydrolic valves! only a guess though

If the coils get HOT, then thats a sign they are not, charging/discharging going through the igntion cycle, just staying energized. If it was as simple as it sounds then the coils have been wired incorrectly.

or maybe because of the extra draw they have to put up with as they cant get the required voltage causes them to get hot, coz i some how doubt that all 4 coils just give up at the same time
