Here's weight versus technology (been posted here plenty of times):

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should all be driving 2011 Smart cars. Hell I drive a '66 mini that would just vaporise in a crash.what I'm saying is, simply stating 'surround yourself lots of steel' is overly simplistic, misleading, and kinda silly.

Was still heavier than the Malibu it hit.

If they are smart they will pick up on these "you are wrong, but I can't quite say why so I'll ad-hom instead" type comments too.

Don't, you're better than this. No-one is saying what you're pretending they're saying.

No it wasn't, that shape Malibu starts at 1,550kg

OK, I was just going by the comments below the vid, didn't check their source. Doesn't seem to be a requirement round here ;)

^^^ Absolutely , no argument at all with that.
As per my very first comment back on page 1 (should have left it at that, lol) airbags are a great invention but I think they are seen as more of a silver bullet than they should be. There is so much more to an effective protective structure than just Airbags: [YES/NO]

Don't forget the motherland Papariccardo!
Fiat/Alfa are still pumping out new technology for the rest of the world to follow. We have just had the revolutionary Multi-Air and shortly we may see the Multi-Air Diesel which will be the biggest revolution for Diesels since Fiat last changed the game with common rail technology.

They are also merrily producing bodies and engines for various other makes like Suzuki (although that will change soon) and their new U.S subsidiary's.

The only shame of it though is the new Multipla sounds like its going to be a stupid badge engineered, mainstream piece of rubbish.
