Maybe the Yanks are saving it for a rainy day.Oil prices are still relatively affordable at this time, so they might drain the other countries of their oil for reasonable prices and then in decades to come they can sell their own oil for a fortune.China is doing the same - sitting on their oil and not using much of it right now.
the reason for US is doing this is obvious it's called politics, and WAR US is sitting on these reserves and when the rest of the world has run out, It will backfire on them as. rather than holding the arabs to ransom they will declare war on US allied states such as Israel, Basically they are sitting on these rerserves in anticipation of a major world war which will happen 12.12.2012 LOL
