Our van is shuddering at intersections if Idling for more than 30 secs and has a wee bit of trouble accelerating particulally up hills.
The car drops revs but does not stall. it just splutters and shudders
We had a few issues a month or 2 ago and had the rotor replaced. so I don't think it's that, but maybe something around it may also be warn.
It is a Nissan Largo 1997 2.4 Automatic

not really that good with cars at all, it appears to be running on all 4. i.e runs great when it's cold. we only seem to have the problem once it has warmed up a bit

The Air Flow Meters give a lot of trouble on those. its a wee square box with a plug connected into the intake near the air filter, unscrew the thing and clean the wee wirey looking bits with meths and a fine brush carefully. see if that helps.

i might put in the garage then. only problem is it only started doing it today. I often find that the mechanic can't get hthe car to play up so we sometime waste money on spark plugs etcc.

my mum had a problem with her garage when her Lada was overheating due to the thermostat. he said he had fixed it but it still overheated so i went round the block so the car started over heating and pissing out steam, and took it to the garage with steam still coming out, problem was fixed that day (not totally sure what was wrong with it). so try get the van all warmed up by going for a drive and take it to the garage while its still playing up so they can see excatly what you mean and might end up quicker to fix the problem

also, no engine light is lighting up. so assume the "engine" is running fine. i.e no cylinders shot

I have just taken it for another run, the car runs like a dream when it is cold, but when it starts to warm up it shudders at intersections (seems to get worse the warmer the car is)
It has a wee splutter whn i put my foot down, but it's not too bad as it goes up steep hil;ls and runs through all the gears it needs.
