Apparently, around here you're not allowed to have

a discussion on hideously modified and overpriced vehicles.

I don't see how it's our problem that some people have no taste whatsoever.

intrade, Jan 28, 9:11am
i can see the problem you see if the seller cant sell the car because we talk badly about it on here that could put potential buyer off and then tradme would lose money on no sale . so that would explain why you are not allowed. I guess they got some screening software and then admins look at them threads with the warnings picked out by the screening software and erase the thread and give you a automated warning.

Because it might hurt the owners feelings.

They would be the type of people that try out for "idol" because their mummy told them they were a good singer.pffft.

Warning for knocking that mr2 thing with the grandmas bedspread material on the dash! I would feel ripped

I once saw a statement, along the lines of:

"You can't criticise concept or taste, you can only criticise workmanship".

I would consider, putting an air-intake scoop on the front of a rear-engined car, to be an extreme example of poor workmanship.

Some people set themselves up as breathing targets.

Did they delete my thread! I want my freedom of speech back!

tonyrockyhorror, Jan 28, 1:55pm
It would appear so.

You're obviously not trying hard enough. You need to do better next time.

jmma, Jan 28, 4:17pm
UUmmm, I got a warning for the same thing, a thread about someone selling POS car, but he had crashed it since and then had it impounded.
The same TM policeman that narked on me was in your thread last night saying how it was against the rules, makes you wonder!
But you must be his friend, not to get a warning (o:

moosie_21, Jan 28, 4:41pm
Lol, who was it! I doubt they like me if they narked on me!

jmma, Jan 28, 4:44pm
Give you a clue, he may be in his shed restoring a Camaro or two (o:

Carpets would have hidden the fact that the paint wasn't applied to every surface = poor workmanship (in either case).

Shame, it appears to be a labour of love, but not my taste.

"The ship was lost, for the want of a hap'orth of tar.".

magoo2, Jan 28, 9:37pm
the doors dont appear to be painted inside, and the interior needs more than carpet. Maybe he ran out of money before it was finished

canajanz1, Apr 13, 10:45am
It isnt your problem. That's why you shouldn't be commenting.

richardmayes, Apr 13, 10:59am
You're allowed to have an opinion.

You're not allowed to sabotage lawful business between consenting adults (buyer and seller) based on your opinions.

Pretty simple really.!

tonyrockyhorror, Apr 13, 11:02am
I'll comment on whatever the hell I like.

Funny you don't seem to stick to what you tell others to do, eh, hypocrite.

tonyrockyhorror, Apr 13, 11:02am
In what way could one expressing one's opinion be sabotage!

richardmayes, Apr 13, 11:11am
I don't know - starting thread after thread about how the car in auction number XXXXXXXX is ridiculously overpriced and the seller is a fool! That might do it!

tonyrockyhorror, Apr 13, 11:24am
Are you seriously trying to say that people might be put off buying something solely for the reason that other people find it tasteless and hideous and comment on it on a messageboard!

Then explain why people still buy 'Toyota' Cavaliers.

richardmayes, Apr 13, 11:33am
When you couple those discussion threads with a whole lot of spam questions on the actual auction (many of them asked by users who were also participating in the discussion threads), then I can see why a reasonable person might think it was an orchestrated effort by messageboarders to sabotage the auction.

(Note that I'm not saying the seller WASN'T a tool.)

rsr72, Apr 13, 11:35am
All cars are overpriced in any event, all.
