Same here. But, then, Daewoo copied it and called it a Pontiac LeMans, and later a Daewoo Cielo took over.

Had a good number of cars in my time but i must say i was impressed with my Kadett, it was a 87 model 1800 efi and close ratio 5 speed, went real good.I bought a 2litre one a few years after and it wasn't near as good.Trim etc was pretty average on themas was finish but the 1800 onecertainly drove good and performed very well. I think my friend is going to be out of luck with this though.
HA Viva has nothing to do with the early Kadett - they don't even share engines/drivetrain or chassis platform - they are similar in styling only. It wasn't until the T-car that GM Europe started sharing platforms, but even so the Kadett C had a different engine to the Chevette.

Cheers.I checked the usual Christchurch places with no luck.Having spent time around Rakaia and methven i was shocked at the volume of "classic's " out that way.
