Bridgestone Re002

Any feed back on these tyres. I assume they are very good grip but what are they like for road noise and comfort. been offered at $308 for 235/40/18 which seems like a good deal. Other option is Hankook V12 which have quite good reviews on line, suppossed to be very quiet and at $270 a tyre not too bad a deal. Feed back please.

Car is VT SS Commodore. I know the Bridgestones are a quality race bred tyre, great for hard driving but was wondering about the comfort aspect of them, Couldnt find as many reviews on the bridgestone online as the Hankooks.

Also check out Toyo C1S and Proxes 4 - available in your size and are extremely quiet and smooth tyres to drive on.I've recently put a set of C1S's on one of our cars and am very impressed with them.If you check out the Toyo website for NZ you will be able to see tread patterns etc and get other information.

had a customer buy a set of RE002s a few weeks back he couldn't stop raving about how they good they handle and how much quieter they were than his last set. V12 is also a good tyre heard good things about them not bad for the price.

I have a set of RE002's and are very impressed with the handling and they are also very quiet. So highly recommended :)

I have a set on my Falcon, similar sizing with great results. Put the rears on about 8000km ago, fronts only 2000km ago. They wont have a great life span but are quieter and have great roadholding wet and dry.

Go for the RE002 - I just replaced the factory SO-2's on my VT2 Clubsport with a set of RE002's - fantastic handling, and reasonably low noise levels. Given you also have a VT, I strongly recommend doing regular tyre rotations given the wear you are likely to get at the rear due to the lack of the extra toe-link / control-link (which they didn't add until the VX). This will mean (especially if you cane your car, drive it hard regularly or plan on doing lots ot towing) that your rear suspension camber angle and toe will distort frequently, leading to excessive wear. Hence the need to rotate regularly.
