I have heard on here that all the rotarys are a very unreliable engine and as everyone says they have no torque ever! I would stay away from them as for the same price you can get a later model V8 Crommodore or Falcoon and they are by far better cars and you can tow stuff with them aswell

Wow, I did a quick S2000 search and they're holding their value amazingly well :-).Must be a very popular car.Look like they're hovering just under the $20k mark, while the RX8's seem to be available in the 6 speed manual guise from maybe around $13k upwards.

I really like the shape of the RX8's, I'd quite like to actually rent one for a weekend and do a road trip.Unfortunately can't see anywhere in Wellington that rents them.Google search leads me to a whole series of bait and switch web pages that mention sports cars in the keywords that google picks up on, and then you end up looking at a page full of Camry and Prius'.Boo hiss!

There is a gap between asking and paying, a significant number of the S2000's for sale on here have been for sale for a long time, I watched them closely for over 12 months and eventually found a motivated vendor.
Not sure about the RX8's but early 2000's S2000 was about $75k new I think

s2000 = gay

V8 = thick, not very good driver

Get a V8 manual ute, xr8 or SS way fun.

There, fixed

That's more than $25k, and butt ugly.

In your opinion. What's your point!

moosie_21, Feb 1, 11:18pm
0-100 in 5 seconds
343 HP
250km/h top speed

I think I'd consider it even if it has mediocre styling!

The looks of Z4s are definitely growing on me too. at least they are not dull and generic.

I hope the extra power of the 6 cylinder engine is enough compensation for having such a big heavy lump up the front of a small car though.

moosie_21, Feb 1, 11:25pm
I suspect it is. Didn't they lenghten the Z4 so that it could spread the weight more evenly compared to the tiny Z3!

My point doesn't matter. Read post #21.

mid life crisis! I know what you mean, I had a big soft spot for the last of the RX7's, a lot more grunt than a RX8. Then I went for the 1968 USA 2 door hardtop V8, drives like a 40 yr old truck, but brings a smile to the dial every time you're behind the wheel. You don't go for a blat down the road, you go for a cruise.

Where he said a 25k 2 seater would be fine. I posted a more expensive option. Problem!

No problem, it's just that you suggested a much more expensive option.
