Correct charging voltage?

islaybrian, Feb 1, 1:54am
Hi all! I have just fitted a new battery into my Mitsi and when measuring the charging voltage across the battery terminals with motor running briskly I measure 13.9 to 14.00 volts on my Avometer.
Is this within the correct range please!
Thanks.

It may go a bit higher or lower, but she'll be ok.

mmc specify 13.8 to 14.2 as correct charging

Seems a little low but yes should be ok
Always been told the best is between 14V to 14.8v
15v will cook on long distance (100km+)
under 14v won't keep up with long term high drain (sitting on brake in heavy traffic at night for 30 min+

14.6v at mid revs on a reasonably well charged battery would be about as good as it gets (for the medium)
