Header building

Does anyone have any contacts for someone who builds headers! In Auckland or surrounds. Its to suit a Boss 302 into Capri. Nothing off the shelf fits, so am looking at this option.

I've made all of mine, Mitsi 2.0, Vn V6, Holden red six (6 into 1) as well as 'making factory ones fit'. Was going to do the Buick 350, but sold it. Lots of hours, trial runs etc, can you not have a crack at it yerself!

I could, and have done a set before, but it was such an arse that I dont want to again! Some things are best left to the experts.

Boss has different heads to a windsor, plus my suspension setup is Mazda, so everything is different there as well.

Basically any decent exhaust shop, fabricator or performance workshop will be able to make it for you

Thats the reason I do my own. don't need another mortgage!

Got a good price from custom chambers, about $1200, which I am happy with. Once I have the engine mounts built, it'll be off to him to do them. Might even get them HPC coated too!

i found cleveland 2v falcon headers fit a capri. Just one pipe on the drivers side had to be altered around the steering. A 302 windsor block will be a bit lower deck height than a cleveland but i would have thought they would still fit.

The issue is complicated by the mazda subframe and tremec box I'm using, it puts the steering rack in a different place, and the starter is on the left hand side. otherwise you are right, they would have worked. Did try a set too, no luck there.

If this is the same guy I am thinking of (near the pizza shop) I've had him do mufflers on my car stem to stern, and hes a bloody genius, and at the time it really felt like he was asking far too little for the work, so I give my thumbs up to him!

I'll do them for $1000, and. I priced HPC for my 6 cyl set, it was around $700!
