At risk of breaking any rules.

I wouldn't buy it. It's X Singapore.

ryanm2, Feb 3, 11:56pm
I wouldn't buy it as I'm not gay.

cantab1971, Feb 3, 11:57pm
thanks cars.but does that mean you wouldn't buy it at any price! I mean, you'd probably buy it at the $7,800 i'm currently leading on, surely!(not that I will get it for that)

cantab1971, Feb 3, 11:57pm
yeah, but maybe its the car you'd turn gay for!

gunhand, Feb 4, 12:01am
Obviously has good insight into what gay people like.
You buy it if you want it.

howie69, Feb 4, 12:15am
Are you by any chance a hairdresser, if so definitely your type of car

cantab1971, Feb 4, 12:25am
hardy ha.no, im a middle aged, balding, fat bastard that happens to like Euro's, and this car would be for the missus cos she reckons our 5 series is too big for her to haul around (i personally reckon our 5 series is too small and want a 7, but whatever).

what is it with this gay thing! are you guys 12 or somethin!

cuda.340, Feb 4, 1:23am
don't worry cantab, there's a high percentage of guys that are homophobic. apparently 1 in 10 of us live next to a paedaphile, not me, i live next to two gorgeous 13 year olds. :)

ryanm2, Feb 4, 1:35am
Im just taking the mickey - being ex singapore would be a major turn off.

kazbanz, Feb 4, 2:03am
This has to be close to a record--third thread in a week about the same car.

supernova2, Feb 4, 2:08am
I haven't even looked at the auction but if it's X Singapore be prepared to be POOR for the rest of your life!

friendly_prawn, Feb 4, 2:24am
There is a problem with the humidity in Singapore affecting car electronics.
Cars imported from Singapore, apparently can give you major headaches due to the humidity. My comments are not from personal experience but something I have heard repeated often.

copied from another site
"You are correct about the high humidity in Singapore affecting wiring and electronics but this doesn't only apply to Alfa Romeo.

In recent years, a high number of European cars have been imported from Singapore, and this may account for European cars gaining a reputation for unreliability here.

These types of faults do not usually occur with NZ New European cars.

As to value, unfortunately it is fairly commonly known that Singaporean used imports can suffer from electrical problems, so it may reduce its value and appeal to buyers"

Still wouldn't buy. I've seen examples (all models, not picking on Beema) out of Singapore that have had 10 grand spent on them. Why risk it! It's dearer now anyway.
