There is a problem with the humidity in Singapore affecting car electronics. Cars imported from Singapore, apparently can give you major headaches due to the humidity. My comments are not from personal experience but something I have heard repeated often.

In recent years, a high number of European cars have been imported from Singapore, and this may account for European cars gaining a reputation for unreliability here.
These types of faults do not usually occur with NZ New European cars.
As to value, unfortunately it is fairly commonly known that Singaporean used imports can suffer from electrical problems, so it may reduce its value and appeal to buyers"

Still wouldn't buy. I've seen examples (all models, not picking on Beema) out of Singapore that have had 10 grand spent on them. Why risk it! It's dearer now anyway.
