The problem with drifting IMHO is : there is very little danger involved (unless you are a darwin award winning spectator in the above instance) - where is the high speed death - motorsport without it is a very boring sport
In Roman times if the whole challenge was 'drifting' your chariot around a track - you would have been stoned to death by the masses - I feel the same way about modern drifting - its slow / smelly & frankly the whole challenge seems a little naff - the point is well beyond me & let me get this straight - I LIKE DRAG RACING which is for the most part a lot of standing around & a few seconds of wow

How is driving sideways in a controled slide a foot away from another car at 160 to 200kph considerd slow! I dont really like drifting but hey some of them are quite talanted. Or is it so easy some do it on the way to work most mournings!

real fun is track days and hillclimbs sliding is just hanging it out childs stuff a over powered starlet on a hillclimb is much better than a high powered drift and to me drifting is what happens in touring cars at speed with all 4 wheels as it looks out of corners = drifting so sliding or hanging it out needs another name as drifting is not what it is
Tucking a wheel in on a corner & holding the shit out of it is way more fun
