I have one of these and have never mastered it, thinking of selling it'
Are they still OK and is it worth selling, its about 8 y/o and I have just put the second roll of wire in it or are they outdated now!

Too right they are, they're far better than most of the flood of cheap welders on the market today.I've had one for 15 years and its been great providing you don't ask it to weld more than about 3mm thick material.Since its had bugger all use I certainly wouldn't let it go for under $350-400

That's good to hear, I'm useless with it, My brother who is a welder, used it once and I thought, Is that my welder HAHA
I just don't use it anymore,

Oh! migging is pretty easy, its all about matching the wire speed and power settings and the rate of travel of the torch, they all have to balance. If your instruction manual was anything like mine itis a little confusing for the novice. Maybe do a course or get some more in depth demos perhaps from a good welder. It is a bit easier usingit with gas, preferably argoshielf but co2 still works ok.

I really don't have much use for it, as you can see by the amount of wire I have used.
Better someone have it that can use and enjoy it.
Thanks for your comments franc123

mig welding is the most easy thing there is provided the welder is not crap. Also most important rules is dont ever weld on rust or unclean surface both metal got to absolut blank then you just weld and jiggle a bit like if you where drunk with the torch 45 degree angle to welding joint and pull trigger bzzzzzzzzzzzt if it pushes your torch then you got to much wire feed and if it misses you got not enough easy as to find the settings power and feed when you have had a while practice.

Definitely worth selling. Cigweld make a great welder. Should be able to get a few hundred for it, Someone who does alot of panel repairs would find it most useful.

I'll spare you the "but mig welding's easy" lecture, Each to their own.
