Parked my Camaro in Super cheap for 15 mins. No other car in carpark. Came out to find a beat up car parked VERY close to my drivers door and a guy attempting to squeeze into his seat. He left and I notice a very fresh key scratch along my door. I followed him and confronted him at the traffic lights. He didn't deny it and says 'I can't prove it' and it's 'two against one' (He had a smiling passenger). Very frustrating as there's nothing I can do about it, but it's obvious it was them. Most annoying!

wherever i park in my Chev i take up 2 spaces (park right over centre of white line) purely for this reason. Feel really sorry for you tgray there are some scumbags around, prob a bit of jealousy by the sounds, you have something they will NEVER have

Hope you noted his license plate. If getting film footage of him doing it isn't possible, you should be able to find out his address. Since car is already beat up, I suggest firebombing his house and seeing how he likes it. God help the person that did it to my car.

Im suprised nobody scratches your car for doing this. I hate how people take up two spaces. Not that I would scratch it out of spite.

I don't understand what you mean *for this reason* ! how does taking 2 spaces help !
(excuse me, but I am a blonde woman so may be missing the obvious)

If you think your car is so amazing that it deserves two car parks it deserves a scratch, by accident or otherwise.

You should've followed him home, smacked him and the pasenger one, set their car on fire and tell them to "prove it" in court who did it.

He's assuming other drivers won't park in the two spaces he has already (partially) occupied, thereby giving him more room either side. Because of course, a Chev is much wider than "normal" cars!

DICKFACE! Some of us respect our cars. I for one am sick to death of ASSHOLES who can't respect others property.

that makes sense to me now :) cheers :)

Because a large number of people have no respect for anyone's property. You only need to look at small dents down the sides of cars to see they happened from some wanker in a car park. My Falcon struggles to fit into most parking spaces, an old Chev would be even worse. City planners must think we all drive around in small disposable jap shitboxes.

we had a car collide with our house this week. driverless. went down a slope, across a busy road, took out a fence post and crashed into our house.the neighbours did the necessary panelbeating for the victim of the calamity, out front, so she could still drive. it was a blue car. it sure did crumple up. LOUDLY !

So is a Falcon wider than "normal" cars!

It's amazing how people don't seem to understand that they can be easily found by their number plates. If that was me I would find out who they are, confirm it (ie, is the registered owner the driver you saw) then wait a couple of years and break his legs with a baseball bat.

If you do that in England, it's an instant fine of £60~70 - they're quite paranoid about it.

Thanks for all your comments. I can get the door sanded and repainted for a few hundred, so not going to sulk about it. It's more the principle that annoys me most. (In case anyone is wondering, it's not the Camaro I have advertised!)

yeah i get that all the time with the lada. just because it's an old car other drivers think it's funny opening their doors and whacking dings into the lada
bellky,
Feb 10, 8:38pm
farout, i don't key cars but if i saw your car parked over two spaces near to the door i would have a go at you - and you just spoke of scumbags!

Simple solution. Fit an electric fence unit. Hang one of those earth straps down as the ground earth (you'll need to insulate it from the body of the hevicle). That'll fix any bastard that touches your vehicle. It'll also stop dogs pissing on the wheels - ever seen a corgi sliding sideways along the road yelping at the top of it's bark!

Hogging 2 spaces is an invitation to get your car dealt to. I never park the Caddy in a shop carpark, that's for sure. Hell I even park the Maxima out the way and just walk the few extra yards. I laugh at these lazy dropkicks who just continually circle the parks looking for that ONE space as close to the doors as possible.
