hi i have a hg prem with a 400sbc and th400,i have jimmied up the coloum shift to work with the cable but it is a real nightmare and it is a mix oflinkages and cable so dosent work to well , it dosent kick down either as i need to run a cable to the trans from a switch of the carb or mount it on the linkage somewhere, now i am thinking flag the lot and just put a B&M shifter in there and be done with it but i want to be able to drop it down when i give it the boot, there are so many shifters out there that im not sure what i should be looking at and also i may get sold something i dont need, any suggestions thx

google B&M shifters, check out the pro ratchet range, pretty sure the th400 had a vac kickdown. I know the th350 had a cable

Get a B&M Quick Silver, Very good shifter and easy to use and works like a mechanical tip tronic when shifting manually.
