What motor can I bolt in to replace the very underpowered and tired 2.0 non turbo diesel in ,my 1990 ford courier.! I wish to keep it all mazda ford so no 3.8 v6 buick engines etc

2.5 litre intercooled turbo diesel (WL-T) from a '01 + Mazda Bounty or Ford Courier. They have an incredible amount of power and torque for a non common rail diesel. You will also need a radiator from the donor vehicle, just make sure it gets rodded out before fitting it.

That will most likely be the old R2 motor, which should be a 2.2 litre. Noisy, gutless, smelly, vibratey POS they are.

thats fine, except i got given it, its only done 140,000 got 4 new tyres a LSD and a good steel deck on it.

Actually, I'm looking at getting some leaf springs out of a flat deck 2wd Courier, 1987 to 1990 model. They seem to be a lot beefier than the ones in my wellside SuperCab.

I put the leaf springs out of a 91 hiace into a extra cab ford courier,they bolted straight in and handle a lot more weight.
